Text Editing Tips of FilmForth

In this guide, you can learn how to add text to a video as you want. Also, the way to split, set start and end, duplicate, and deleted the text from a video are also introduced.

Follow the steps below to add text to the video/photo you are editing. 

Firstly, back to the main menu and click Text, and select the position in the video timeline where you want to add text. (Every time you click on the video timeline, the Edit toolbar will show up, no worries, just click on the white arrow to go back to the main menu and click Text.)

Choose Add Text. You will see several editing options in the text toolbar. You can edit the text, move the Playhead to set Start/End of the text in the video, duplicate or delete the text.

Click the Edit Text button, a text-editing window will be popped up, in which you can set Preset, Font, Alignment. Meanwhile, click and hold the circles beside the text box to rotate the position or adjust the length of the text. Besides, you can drag the text box to the position you want.

FilmForth offers a variety of eye-catchy text font presets for you to choose from. Simply input text in the right box, and desired text will show up on the video preview above. You can drag the handle of the text to relocate or rotate the text in the video.

Choose the text Font on the left panel, Font, Color, Drop Shadow, Stroke, Background options will pop up and are listed in the middle area.

  1. The Bold, Italic, Underline, and Cross font can be applied to the text by clicking on the symbols.
  2. Enable the Emoji & Symbols feature and select your preferred one for the text.
  3. The text color and size can be set by choosing from the color and size box.
  4. To enable the Drop Shadow will add shadow to the text.
  5. Check the Stoke, the stoke color and size can be applied to the text.
  6. Enable the Background feature and choose your preferred color for the text.

There are 6 types of alignments for you to choose from. Also, set Text Spacing and Line Spacing as you need by inputting the size you want.

Then, you can set the start and end of the text in the video either by dragging the text process bar in the timeline or by using the Set Start/End buttons in the operation panel below.

Go to the Speech Balloon tab and You can choose for your video from our ready-made Speech Balloons to make your text in video look cuter.

Drag to move the left Playhead on the text timeline, and then click the Set Start to set the text starting position in the video.

Drag to move the right Playhead on the text timeline, and then click the Set End to set the text ending position in the video.

Split the Text

If you want more text while playing the video, you can also split the text and edit the text as you need.

Tap on the text you added and click the Split button. Then you will see the text was split separately. A new text was added below.

The split function can also be used to add new text as you click the Add Text again and edit the content. Then, set the start and end position of the text in the video as needed.

Clicking the Animation button to animate the text of the video. You can set an entrance, exit, or emphasis for the text if you want to.

The duration of each text effect is set in one second by default. You can drag the duration bar to change the duration which can be set from 0.2s to 2s.

Emphasis and Entrance(Exit) are not able to be used at the same time. You can only choose Emphasis or Entrance(Exit) at one text.
